About me: Born in Devon but moved around the UK and abroad as the daughter of a military father. Moved to Burton in 1988 and have made the area my home ever since despite keeping up the family habit of moving! My home, in Brizlincote is my longest of 15 years. I have a daughter, son, step-son and granddaughter. My professional background is as a Chemist, moving into teaching 17 years across six different secondary schools, culminating in Headship. I now focus on both developing courses and delivering training to teachers and leadership teams to support professional development and whole school improvement and therefore future life chances of the students. I am currently volunteering with the YMCA’s Nightshelter project – a very worthwhile cause for the area’s rough sleepers.
